LG Premier for Tracfone, Reconditioned

I needed a phone with at least 8GB internal memory and a larger screen (blame my old eyes) and this LG Premier looked like it might fit the bill. So we ordered 2 reconditioned handsets for under $50. Many people might shudder at "reconditioned," but I've had very good success at a great savings.

Here are the specs:
  • - 4G LTE
  • - Android™ 5.1, Lollipop®
  • - 5.3" HD Touchscreen
  • - Battery talk time up to 14 hours
  • - Standby time up to 11 days
  • - Wi-Fi®
  • - Supports microSD™ Memory Card up to 32GB (not included)
  • - 8MP Camera/ 5 MP Front Facing Camera
  • - A-GPS/GPS
  • - 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor
  • - Proximity Sensor
  • - Bluetooth® 4.1
The phones arrived quickly from Tracfone in 3 days with free shipping. They both looked new with all documentation and no scratches. Mine worked perfectly from day one, but my wife's would lock-up after 12 hours. I was thinking that "reconditioned" has finally come back to bite me. Not so, I called Tracfone and had a replacement by the end of the week, which worked perfectly. Thanks Tracfone!

What I like about the phone is the curved glass, large screen, speed, adaptive flash, great cameras front and back, Micro SD slot, and the double-knock wake and sleep (an LG thing). The only downer is that the sound is only average (not quite as loud as my old Moto-E).

Some of the complaints I've read about this phone are unfounded. One customer said it was "too thin and flimsy." "Flimsy" it is not and if you look at the new Samsung S8, "thin" is in. Another customer was disappointed that he couldn't move all his apps to the microSD card. Well, that's an Android thing on all phones. Only some apps and app data can be moved to the microSD card. For the app look at the app info in "Settings - Apps," for app data look in the settings in the app.

Overall we are very satisfied.

Please tell me what you think.
